Why Can’t I Add My Channel Account to Hostex?

When you are unable to link a channel account to Hostex, an error message will be displayed. Please follow the instructions provided.

There are several possible reasons for this situation:

1. Account ID or password is wrong

Please retry the linkage process and ensure that you enter the correct account number and password.

If you have forgotten your password, please visit the channel website to retrieve it.

2. The account has been connected to another Hostex account

In this case, you need to log in to the other Hostex account and delete the channel account from there.

3. The account has been connected to another PMS

Each channel account can only be authorized with one PMS.

If there is no response or if you are redirected to the channel’s homepage when attempting to authorize your account, it means your account has already been authorized with another PMS.

In such cases, you need to unauthorize or remove the account from the channel’s website.

For Airbnb:

  1. Click on your avatar on the Airbnb website.
  2. Go to “Account” from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on “Privacy & sharing” in the Account settings.
  4. Navigate to the “Services” section.
  5. Look for the old PMS authorization and select the option to “Remove access.”

4. Exceeds the system limitation

The number of channel accounts that can be added depends on the number of properties you have created.

Assuming the number of your properties is X, the following limitations apply:

1. When X ≤ 50, the number of channel accounts is limited to 100.

2. When 50 < X ≤ 100, the number of channel accounts is limited to 2X.

3. When X > 100, the number of channel accounts can be increased by 15 for every 10 additional properties.
