Owner Connect

The Owner Connect is a tool designed specifically for channel managers, allowing you to generate owner reports with a single click. These reports include details on income, expenses, and management fees, helping owners clearly understand their property’s performance and the net income after channel manager fees or commissions.

Channel managers can easily send the PDF owner reports to the respective property owners for reconciliation at the end of the month.

How to Use Owner Connect?

  1. Log into Hostex and navigate to Owner Connect.
  2. Add an owner and input the owner’s details and the properties they own.
  3. Specify your management fee (or commission) percentage.
  4. Decide whether to show a detailed breakdown or just the final amount.
  5. Select the currency for the report. All amounts will be automatically converted to your chosen currency based on the current exchange rate.
  6. Click to generate the report.
  7. Send it to the owner’s email.

How to Modify or Delete an Owner?

  1. Log into Hostex and go to Owner Connect.
  2. Click on the owner you wish to modify or delete.
  3. Use the button next to their name to Remove, Disable, or Edit the owner’s information.

How to Modify Properties Owned by an Owner?

  1. Log into Hostex and navigate to Owner Connect.
  2. Click on the owner you wish to modify.
  3. Switch to the Properties Section.
  4. Add or remove properties.

How to Modify Owner Report Settings?

  1. Log into Hostex and go to Owner Connect.
  2. Click on the owner you wish to modify.
  3. Click on Report Settings and adjust all report items as needed.

How to Regenerate a Report?

  1. Log into Hostex and navigate to Owner Connect.
  2. Click on the owner whose report you want to regenerate.
  3. Use the button next to the report to regenerate it.

Important Notes of Owner Connect

  • The amount for bookings spanning multiple months will be calculated based on the proportional distribution of nights across those months.
  • Only the main Hostex account has access to the Owner Connect feature.
  • After adding an owner, you can only generate reports for the previous month; current-month reports are not supported (as reports are intended for end-of-month reconciliation).
  • Reports will not automatically update; they must be manually regenerated for new data.
  • If the owner does not receive the email, please verify the email address for accuracy or check the spam folder.
