How to Set Up Reviews Automation?
Hostex supports review synchronization across various OTA platforms. However, permissions differ among platforms. Below is an overview of the functionalities available:
You can respond to guest reviews on these platforms:
- Airbnb
- Booking.com
- Expedia
- Houfy
- Tujia
Hosts can leave reviews for guests on:
- Airbnb
- Vrbo
You can send or respond to the reviews automatically with Hostex.
Send Reviews Automatically
After setting, the review content will be automatically sent to the guest under your preset conditions.
- Go to the Automation section.
- Switch to the Review page.
- Click on the New Rule button.
- Set up a rule to Send reviews to guests.
Respond to Reviews Automatically
After setting, Hostex will automatically respond to reviews according to your preset.
- Go to the Automation section.
- Switch to the Review page.
- Click on the New Rule button.
- Set up a rule to Respond to guests.
Common Reasons for Review Sending Failures
- Limited Support for Host Reviews: Currently, only Airbnb and Vrbo allow hosts to review guests.
- Timing of Automated Review Rules: If the automated review rule is set too close to the check-out time, Airbnb may not generate the window for hosts to review guests yet, resulting in a failure to send the automated review. It is recommended that the review time be set one day after check-out.
- Dissociation from Hostex Property: If the OTA listing has been dissociated from Hostex or if the OTA account has been deleted or unlinked, automated reviews cannot be sent.
- Previous Host Reviews: If a host has already reviewed a guest, the platform will not allow another review to be sent.
